Hi! I'm Sam Miller, a licensed general contractor serving the New River Valley. Welcome to Roots Bathrooms! I look forward to working with you to create the beautiful bathroom of your dreams.

I grew up in Floyd, but I was born in California and moved to Virginia at six months old. My wife says that is why I love to travel, see new places, and meet new people. And try new food! 

 

A little about me: I grew up in the construction world and have always found building/design both fascinating and fulfilling. I love the puzzle of a new project.

I enjoy everything outdoors--from hiking and camping to getting lost down backroads. Our national parks are one of my long-time passions. 14 down, 49 to go.

My journey in construction:

• a year working in fine trim carpentry with a local carpenter (Floyd).

• three and a half years with Cornerstone General Contractors, LLC (Christiansburg) as a project manager, estimator, and superintendent. Mainly small remodels and a few entire home renovations. Working at Cornerstone gave me a wide range of experience in client-relations, job estimation, project management, and trade skills including tile and bathroom remodeling.

• just over a year with Deskins, Inc (Daleville) on large commercial jobsites as a junior superintendent. Supervised the remodel of two Domino's pizza locations.

• was blessed to start my own business in 2023.
